WASH Project Coordinator: (open to Syrian National only)**

Function and Organizational Relationships

WASH project coordinator (WPC ) is responsible for the delivery of project activities and budget, timely reporting and regular monitoring and evaluation of project achievements. The WPC reports directly to the SPC and is accountable to the SPC for effectively performing all responsibilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Identify suitable water sources
  2. consult with community and develop negotiate and manage contacts
  3. Set up maintenance system , train stuff and arrange repairs
  4. Develop hygiene promotion
  5. prepare technical drawings for water and sanitation intra structure
  6. Assess health risk , water and sanitation needs
  7. Supervision and analysis of the monthly WASH activity reports, readjustment of the activities in collaboration with program managers, design of new projects if needed
  8. Experience in capacity building and setting frameworks for staff development
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.


  1. Minimum Bachelor degree in any discipline relating to Water and Sanitation Engineering;
  2. At least three years of relevant experience;
  3. Previous experience in relief and development preferably in an international organization;
  4. Ability to work independently and identify innovative and promising social initiatives;
  5. Strong local credentials in the given area inside Syria;
  6. Sound understanding of Project Cycle Management;
  7. Arabic and English are required,
  8. Commitment to humanitarian principles and action;
  9. Valid Turkish residency permits and ability to travel in the region
