The Hydrologic Research Center (HRC), San Diego, CA is actively searching to fill a Postdoctoral Associate position. The successful candidate will join an on-going NSF funded research project to identify relationships between tree-rings and other dendrochronological metrics, and various hydrologic and hydroclimatic variables in the Sierra Nevada of Northern California. In addition, the candidate will have an opportunity to participate in and collaborate on other HRC initiatives related to the numerical modeling of hydrometeorological predictions to support water resources studies.
- PhD in hydrology, environmental sciences, earth sciences, or related discipline with an emphasis on statistical and numerical modeling.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as: Matlab, Fortran, Python, and Bash shell scripting.
- Ability to communicate research results in the form of technical reports, peer reviewed papers, and oral presentations.
