The School of Geography and Development seeks Postdoctoral Research Associates to complete research on NSF funded research related to food and water security in Sub-Saharan Africa. Candidates would join a collaborative cross-institutional research team working on several projects addressing impacts of climate change on farming systems and food security and adaptation strategies employed by rural and urban households.
Three positions are available with emphasis on the following research areas:
1) Statistical analysis of household survey data and characterization of climate change adaptation strategies,
2) spatial modeling of decision-making dynamics in agroecosystems or in urban residential areas,
3) GIS and remote sensing analysis of land use dynamics, crop production and deforestation/reforestation.
