CARE International is seeking experienced and motivated people to join its WASH emergency response team. As part of the emergency response team you will be called up for short term deployments in humanitarian emergencies across the globe.
Being part of our Roster will give you an opportunity to use your skills and experience in the WASH sector and to be at the centre of the action when CARE responds to major humanitarian disasters. You will be responsible for assessment, design and implementation of the water, sanitation and hygiene component of CARE’s emergency response. These deployments involve a great level of responsibility and are an amazing opportunity to make a difference to the lives and communities of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable.
We are seeking applications from candidates with 5+ year’s international humanitarian WASH experience in the following specialisms. All candidates must be able to demonstrate their understanding of the needs of women and children in emergency settings:
- WASH Coordinators/Managers, with experience of project design, implementation, coordination, needs assessment etc.
- WASH and Gender Specialists
- Engineers with skills in municipal water supply and sewage systems, or rural wash (hand pumps, wells, pit latrines etc).
- Hygiene Promoters
Applicants must be available for quick deployment and for short terms contracts.
Applicants who have ability to communicate (speaking, writing, reading) in French and/or Arabic will be given preference.
We thank all candidates for the responses to this advertisement. However, we regret that we will be able to contact only short listed candidates.
