Inclusive Manufacturing Forum (IMF) is a formal initiative started at NIAS, Bengaluru, India with active participation from IISc and Canfield University (UK). IMF is envisioned to be a critical think tank, immensely engaged in the deliberation of the changing scenario of manufacturing in India and globally, amidst socio-cultural sensitivities, demographic diversities, economic evolution, and their implications on manufacturing esp. to both traditional enterprises and new age manufacturing entities. The primary mandate of IMF is to concert real-world wisdom through conducive research to prompt regulatory excellence, policy growth enablers, sustainability & diversity, implication of COPs, impact of geopolitics on industry, livelihood generation, emerging technology trends and navigating manufacturing foresight towards development of coherent policy interventions that can empower dignified well-being and sustain development for all strata of society.
About the Internship:
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist with a variety of tasks and learn under the close mentorship of accomplished scientists/senior engineers
2. Research on serious challenges, risks, impasses in public policies concerning water and sanitation both in national and global context
3. Develop thoughtful arguments, make opinions, and develop the counter measures to be undertaken in future from a policy perspective

The mission of this internship is to foster potential through exposure to appropriate science and engineering policies, issues and programs. We provide short-term exposure with inter-disciplinary policy views for real-world problems. This is an opportunity for young talent to associate with IMF’s activities for mutual benefit. We encourage young graduates to understand government functioning, regulatory, developmental policy issues and contribute in its formulation, amendments if required, by generating input through critical analysis, review social issues and policies.
