Please make sure to read the following information before you apply for financial support.
If you are the beneficiary of financial support from SIWI and Arup, you are required to attend the specific Young Professionals sessions on August 26. If asked, you are required to assist with the specific events in any way needed. If you do not fulfill these requirements and do not have a legitimate* reason, you will be required to reimburse the full costs.
Please note that if you receive financial support for travel, all flight bookings must be made through SIWI’s travel agency, via the link that you will receive with your registration link. SIWI does NOT allow for reimbursements of travel booked through other agencies. SIWI and Arup will only cover costs for foreign travel, all domestic travel costs must be covered by the participant. SIWI only allows bookings in direct connection to the World Water Week, no extra stopovers or prolonged stays will be accepted. SIWI only covers tickets in economy class. Please note that any extra costs due to re-bookings must be paid by the participant.
If you are granted financial support for accommodation, the hotel must be booked through your registration link. SIWI does NOT allow for reimbursements of accommodation booked in other ways.
Once you have registered and have booked travel and/or accommodation, you are expected to attend the entire World Water Week. If you cancel your participation and do not have a legitimate* reason, you will be required to reimburse the complete cost of cancellation, including any applicable administrative fees.
* By legitimate we mean the event of an accident or sickness. A certificate from a medical doctor is required.
