Who are we?

Acacia Water is a social enterprise based in Gouda, The Netherlands. We provide consultancy services in the fields of hydro(geo)logy, water management, and hydro-informatics, with the aim to improve access to clean and safe water around the world.

Through a combination of science, practical approaches and stakeholder involvement we aim to realize smart and sustainable solutions for international water issues. With a group of 30 enthusiastic colleagues we execute research for, advise and support governmental organizations, NGOs and international institutions.

What are we looking for?

As the number of programs and projects in which we are involved is growing, we are looking for a Senior Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) specialist/project-manager with at least 10 years of working experience to join. The main tasks of the new colleague include business development and project management. You will formulate and initiate projects that will contribute to the mission of Acacia. As a project manager you will lead and motivate project teams.

Our new colleague:

holds a MSc in a hydrological or environmental science;

has in-depth knowledge of IWRM-frameworks and -concepts;

is experienced with proposal writing;

is willing to manage complex projects and programmes;

enjoys supporting student, junior and medior colleagues;

has at least 10 years working experience (including fieldwork);

is willing to travel frequently;

is fluent in English, has working knowledge of Dutch or is willing to learn (French is an asset);

is cooperative, enterprising, flexible and critical; and

wants to join us to make a difference!
