WaterAid is looking for an experienced Program Coordinator to support our program delivery across WaterAid Australia’s country programs, with a specific focus on building the capacity of country program staff to effectively manage grants.  This position will be based in Melbourne with regular international travel.  This is a 2 year fixed term full time or part time contract (3 or 4 days per week considered).

Key Accountabilities:

Reporting to the International Programs Manager, the Program Coordinator will:

  • support the management of institutional grants by Country Programs, ensuring that quality and compliance standards are met;
  • contribute to improving grant management systems and processes,
  • build the capacity of in-country staff to manage grants;
  • support the country programs to manage their finances;
  • develop and manage relationships with partner organisations and other stakeholders;
  • support monitoring and evaluation of specific grants, and
  • contribute to business development.
