Web management

  • Translate environmental technical knowledge and adapt information to relevant audiences;
  • Provide strategic and analytical advice for web development;
  • Liaise with communications consultants as needed for graphics, editing and web development;
  • Manage UN-Water’s website and keep content up-to-date;
  • Plan newsflow;
  • Monitor UN-Water Members and Partners websites for news, events, new publications, etc and suggest items for UN-Water website and monthly newsfeed;
  • Disseminating UN-Water’s messages and products on relevant channels;
  • Undertake competitive intelligence;
  • Publish UN-Water’s Members and Partners webitems;
  • Edit photos as needed;
  • Optimize SEO with relevant consultants;
  • Follow statistics via analytics tool;
  • Keep abreast of new developments related to web tools and suggest improvements/upgrade as necessary.
  • Provding strategic advise and implementing digital outreach and global campaigns (World Water Day, World Toilet Day, Water Action Decade)
  • Increasing and ensuring relevance in the base of followers for the different accounts;

Social media management

  • Develop and carry out a corporate social media strategy that reflects communications objectives across all platforms ensuring that social media remains on brand and engaging;
  • Take responsibility for content and development in social media, mainly Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram
  • Schedule and post all programmed content for the different channels, including relevant graphics and images based on the global agenda and issues relevant to UN-Water;
  • Monitoring online thematic and technical discussions in networks and communities – moderate discussions as necessary ;
  • Work with consultant for artworks adapted for corporate and campaign-related social media use;
  •  
  • Identify/ build relationships with key bloggers/ influencers in order to establish them as brand voices/ambassadors;
  • Creating and maintaining a dialogue with followers in UN-Water’s digital communities
  • Carry out special engagement activities with Members and Partners such as during international events;
  • Act as main focal point for social media analytics agency;

Campaign expertise

  • Provide strategic insights and creative digital campaign solutions in the PR/campaign mix;
  •  Develpo and carry out digital global campaigns;
  • Liaise with social media focal points in the UN and UN-Water’s Members and Partners;
  • Develop and manage UN-Water’s global campaign websites (stories, visuals, events)
  • Work with campaign consultants as needed;
  • Answer public queries;

Events support

  • Support UN-Water’s presence of UN-Water at relevant international events. 
Perform other related duties as required.
