The post holder will be part of the public policy team within the Climate Change research group. They will be responsible for supporting the team in the delivery of a comprehensive and coherent research programme on understanding what drives public policy responses to climate change, ie public and private climate finance.

To succeed in this role you must have a relevant postgraduate degree, such as public policy, finance, economics or sustainable business development. You will have a strong understanding of climate change public policy responses in least developed countries; financial risk instruments; and the role of private finance entities such as small and medium enterprises and institutional investors. 

Your research experience in climate change will include research for impact – meta analysis and climate/development finance data analysis. You will be fluent in English, with good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to produce a range of research publications for different audiences. You will be experienced at communicating confidently to a diverse range of colleagues and partners from different backgrounds and cultures. For more information, see the job description.
