WaterAid is developing its approach to managing and growing restricted income and is looking to recruit a dynamic Grants officer (6 month fixed term contract) to coordinate a portfolio of projects with a grant value of over £2.5m per year. This is a six month fixed term post as we assess the roles and resourcing related to continued improvements.
Based in the Strategic Partnerships department you’ll be responsible for developing inspiring donor-facing project materials and communications for a number of priority projects that fundraisers use to raise funds from donors across our global offices. This includes developing proposals and reports and tracking fundraising progress globally.
You will monitor project progress to minimise risk for our grants, working closely with Country Programme colleagues to understand challenges and changes in projects. You will be a key point of knowledge on specific projects, supporting fundraisers to communicate the reality of our project work to their donors.
Your exceptional copy writing skills will create inspiring, high quality proposals and reports targeted at a diverse range of funders (including for high net worth individuals and Trust audiences, corporate partners & restricted fundraising appeals).
To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated and used to a fast paced working environment, comfortable with juggling people and multiple priorities to meet deadlines. You will have experience of dealing directly with Country Programmes, be accustomed to complex project and budget management and have an excellent eye for detail.
