Project Title: Investigating novel sensing techniques for monitoring effluent
The project brings together the expertise in Irish Water and DCU scientists concerned with passive sampling and water quality monitoring to develop innovative tools for informing decision making.
Interested candidates should hold a PhD in a discipline strong in analytical science or environmental analysis and should have an interest in field work and laboratory-based research, problem solving, data analysis and communicating research outcomes.
Expertise in separation science, sample preparation, passive sampling and general analytical techniques would be an advantage.
Other areas of interest include environmental sensors, sensor development, deployment and maintenance of deployed materials and devices.
The position is offered initially for 12 months.
