InspirAction is the Spanish member of the Christian Aid’s family. The post will be integrated into the IA team at its office in Madrid working on Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region.
About the role
This post will play a key role in delivering, and in some cases managing, policy and advocacy projects to help deliver the changes set out in the corporate impact area on climate change in a way that maximises relevance to and impact in Latin America and the Caribbean. It will bring robust LAC analysis to Christian Aid’s policy and advocacy work on climate change.
The role will also support colleagues in LAC division to shape and implement national and regional advocacy strategies that relate to the global changes we are seeking to achieve. Current priorities include our Big Shift campaign to get finance out of fossil fuel and into renewable energy, advocacy towards implementing the Paris agreement and ensuring funding for resilience is targeted to most vulnerable communities.
Working closely with InspirAction in Madrid, the post will support the climate change work in Spain and the EU, and to ensure that gender and human rights are at the heart of the climate change work.
