Intern (Aqueduct Communications)

World Resources Institute (WRI)

Washington, DC, US

Internships at WRI provide opportunities for motivated young professionals to learn from our experts and participate in engaging work at the intersection of environment and development.  WRI provides many internship opportunities throughout the year in all of our programs and offices. We seek interns with diverse backgrounds and who are passionate about the environment to help us make a direct global impact.

The Aqueduct tools enable users to measure, map, and mitigate water risks around the world. Aqueduct’s data is used to evaluate water risks, set targets, inform smart water policies, and assess the costs and benefits of water management strategies. Beyond the tools, the Aqueduct team works one-on-one with companies, governments, and research partners to help advance best practices in water resources management and enable sustainable growth in a water-constrained world.

The Aqueduct Global Water Risk Atlas is a widely used and respected water risk assessment tool. This summer, the Aqueduct team will begin to strategize communications for launching an updated version of this tool, which includes new functionalities, datasets, and a new web platform. The Aqueduct Communications Intern will help prepare email marketing campaigns, blog posts, key messages, and a social media strategy for this forthcoming tool.
