The candidate for this position will support interdisciplinary projects to study the environmental impact of conventional hydropower and marine and hydrokinetic renewable energy systems by detecting and tracking fish or other animals in the river or ocean using underwater acoustic telemetry. The primary scope of this position includes materials design and cell engineering associated with microbattery technologies.
Candidates must be currently enrolled/matriculated in a PhD program at an accredited college. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
Candidate must be a graduate student in Chemistry or Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering). Prior research experience with battery research is preferred. Must have good written and oral communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively. Must be safety orientated.
