The Murray-Darling Basin Plan requires Victoria to prepare five Water Resource Plans (WRP) for its share of the Basin by June 2019 to demonstrate Victoria’s arrangements for sustainable use and management of water resources.

This position will be part of a team responsible for contributing to the development of Victoria’s WRPs. We are looking for a person with a real desire to engage with regional communities on the issues that matter to them, in relation to agricultural, recreational, urban, environmental and Aboriginal water. You will have the experience to manage diverse interests and respond to emerging issues across a broad regional base. You will be responsible for helping to refine and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy to facilitate a coordinated approach to stakeholder engagement throughout the development of each WRP. This role requires a person with skills and experience in stakeholder engagement. An understanding of the requirements of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and the key stakeholders within the water sector in regional Victoria is desirable.
This is a fixed term position up until 30 June 2019.
