The Center for Water Security and Cooperation seeks interns for Summer 2018. The Center is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. Our work advances water security by understanding, evaluating and innovating in water law and governance. Interns will work on a range of issues from the human right to water and affordability of water services, to the relationship between water and agricultural law, to water and sanitation laws in Africa, amongst others. While we have existing projects, we invite interns to propose topics they are interested in learning more about. We welcome 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls and LLMs to apply. Summer internships are full-time with interns working 40 hours/week for 10 weeks. While summer internships are unpaid, we are happy to work with interns to find public interest funding.
Interested students should submit (1) a cover letter describing their interest in water law and policy and the work of the CWSC, (2) a resume, including their GPA and a list of relevant courses they have taken at the college or law school levels and (3) a writing sample to [email protected].
