Development Intern/Volunteer

Women's Environment and Development Organization (WEDO)

WEDO is looking for a creative, dedicated, and self-reliant individual with excellent research, communication and time-management skills – and a passion for WEDO’s mission. Working with the Head of Office, this person will participate in a range of development functions in support of WEDO’s advocacy work and its vision of a just world that promotes and protects human rights, gender equality and the integrity of the environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research individual and foundation prospects
  • Maintain a donor database
  • Communicate with donors
  • Create content for communication pieces
  • Copy edit and proofread
  • Support other administrative duties, as necessary.

This unpaid internship is part-time and flexible, starting immediately. It is an excellent opportunity for a person who is interested in the non-profit world, and especially passionate about women’s human rights, sustainable development, climate change and social justice.
