Generation division is responsible for the large scale power production, physical optimization and trading activities in the Nordic area. This division comprises nuclear, hydro and thermal power production, portfolio management and trading, industrial intelligence and nuclear services.
Seize this opportunity to develop our sustainable Hydro power Portfolio! Fortum is developing its project portfolio in the field of environmental improvements of hydro power production. As an Environmental project manager, you will manage our emerging environmental project portfolio in Sweden. You will manage individual environmental projects in their planning and licensing phase, as well as look for continuous updates and smart re-prioritization of the whole environmental portfolio.
The work tasks are diverse ranging from long-term projects and investigations to short assignments based on your expertise areas. You get to utilise your combined skills in project management and environmental expertise. You will be supported by our environmental team with several in-depth focus areas of expertise.
As a member of our environmental team, you will work in close co-operation with our specialists in hydro portfolio development, asset management, development and engineering & projects. You will manage consultants and maintain connections with authorities and local stakeholders.

You hold a Master’s degree in Environmental sciences or Engineering. You already have relevant work experience, and you have proven your skills in project management. Your environmental education or expertise is preferably focused on riverine water environments, hydrobiology or water resources management and water regulation.
You have a positive mind-set with initiative and helpfulness. Systematic way of working and hands-on attitude are your strengths. You recognise the importance of the work and you are eager to get results, but also ready to challenge the current and continuously look for improvements.
You are fluent in Swedish, and your English is fine. Knowledge in other languages can be an asset.
