Job Description

Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Emergency WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) implementation of activities during disasters and emergency response

  • Formulate a comprehensive and holistic plan of action for emergency response that conforms to the SPHERE standards, guidelines and policies of the National Society and laws set forth by the Philippine government and its agencies
  • Design a mobilization plan for the deployment of WASH trained personnel and necessary equipment and other WASH resources
  • Super and monitor the WASH activities (both hardware and software) in field during disaster and emergencies
  • Conduct field visits after the occurrence of disaster/emergency for the actual observation on the status on the ground
  • Participate in the technical and sectoral meetings and working groups involving non-government organizations and United Nation Agencies and other inter-governmental institutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health or related courses
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in emergency response, recovery and developmental context applying technical expertise on WASH
  • Familiarity with the SPHERE Standards
  • Experience in project planning, budget and people management
