We are seeking a motivated student to pursue a Ph.D. (although exceptional M.S. applicants will also be considered) at Washington State University, Vancouver, as part of a university-funded effort to support research on urban stormwater and green infrastructure (https://provost.wsu.edu/grand-challenge-projects/). RA funding is available for this position. The successful applicant will be expected to take on a research project focused on improving understanding of urban stormwater and green infrastructure systems. Possibilities for research foci include: the hydrology and/or biogeochemistry of urban runoff, linking urban stormwater dynamics to climate change, and understanding landscape scale potential for green infrastructure to improve water quality, among others. WSU has unique facilities for studying urban stormwater dynamics, including access to the Washington State Stormwater Research Center located on the WSU Puyallup campus.
