About the role
 
We have an opportunity for a Manager – Water Sensitive Cities within our Assets Planning Group. You will lead the Water Sensitive Cities section to effectively and efficiently manage program planning, investment decision frameworks and consistently deliver organisational requirements, expected outcomes and benefits. This position is based in our Leederville office and will report to Head of Asset Investment Planning.
 
What the role will offer
 
  • Development of strategies and objectives to support the transition of Perth to become the most Water Sensitive City within Australia   
  • Manage external relationships to further the Corporation’s strategic objectives related to Water Sensitive Cities portfolio
  • Manage delivery of plans that enable optimum decisions around timing and scope of investment, management of risk and customer service
  • Undertake business performance reviews and provide strategic advice on individual investment and/or program proposals
  • Responsibility for monitoring and managing the scope, budget and schedule of Water Sensitive Cities projects and programs    
  • Optimising management, development and deployment of all team members ensuring they have the capability to consistently deliver expected outcomes
  • Participate in the development of Group strategic plans, and then working to that plan, develop and implement operational and tactical plans to achieve section objectives and outcomes 
 
 Key skills and experience
 
  • Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Significant demonstrated leadership experience in a management or supervisory position
  • Proven ability to manage people to maximise their potential and work contribution
  • Proven experience in managing, organising and reporting functional activities to deliver organisational outcomes
  • Considerable experience in the planning, design, acquisition or operational delivery of an investment program
  • Ongoing professional development, particularly in organisational management, people management and change management
