Hydrology and Water Resources, Assistant/Associate Professor
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Geoscience Department seeks to recruit an Assistant or Associate Professor in the field of Hydrology and Water Resources  as a tenure-track or tenured appointment. The successful candidate is expected to develop (Assistant-level), or expand upon (Associate-level) a rigorous, externally funded research program, supervise graduate students at both the master’s and doctoral levels, and teach both graduate and undergraduate classes. Preference will be given to applicants with research interests in one or more of the following sub-disciplines: hydroclimatology; interactions among groundwater, surface water and atmosphere; hydrogeochemistry; innovative means of characterizing water resources; and/or ecohydrology and geobiologic impacts on water resources. Research approaches may include analytical, numerical, field, remote sensing and/or experimental techniques. The position requires a Ph.D. in an appropriate earth science discipline from a regionally accredited college or university. Salary will be competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
