Job purpose and background

CDP North America is seeking a dedicated individual to join its Disclosure Services team and support our corporate engagement efforts. This person will be responsible for providing external support for corporate engagement inquiries and internal support for engagement systems and planning. Inquiries from companies will cover a variety of topics including the value of disclosure, reporting guidance time-lines and resources, and CDP programs and initiatives. This role will report to the Manager, Engage-ment – Disclosure Services.

Key responsibilities

• Managing local support inbox and crafting concise, yet comprehensive responses to a variety of corporate inquiries by email or phone

• Providing internal and external support for general and technical guidance information

• Providing internal and external support for frontend/backend technology systems, specifically disclosure and CRM platforms

• Developing and maintaining engagement protocols, procedures, and tools

• Generating and furthering relevant opportunities for CDP initiatives managed by other teams

• Coordinating relevant internal communications to companies

• Contributing to annual planning and engagement support development

• Serving as liaison to relevant global team to stay aware of key internal developments

Required skills and experience

• A university degree in a related subject

• At least one year of related work experience

• Excellent engagement and communication skills, with the ability to provide high quality email and phone support

• The ability to come up to speed quickly and independently with technical information (such as CDP’s guidance) and apply this information to support inquiries

• The ability to understand company needs, identify opportunities, and act on this information

• Basic understanding of database systems and experience working with large datasets in MS Excel or other similar software

• Broad familiarity with MS Office, with ability to learn and master new technology systems

Desired skills and experience

Basic knowledge of sustainability issues, specifically related to climate change, water secu-rity, and/or commodity-linked deforestation

• Keen interest in global and regional corporate reporting and disclosure

• Accurately communicating technical information in a concise, yet comprehensive manner

• Attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills

• The drive to take ownership and responsibility for particular areas of work

• The desire and ability to improve and streamline processes to better and more efficiently achieve program goals, rather than follow the status quo

• The ability to meet deadlines under pressure
