Oxfam GB is an international non-governmental organisation with a mission of working with others to alleviate poverty and injustice. Oxfam GB has been working in South Sudan since 1983. Our Programmatic Strategy concentrates on Saving Lives, Resilient Livelihoods, Advancing Gender Justice and Good Governance and Active Citizenship through a full spectrum platform that includes humanitarian response, recovery and resilience, long term development and policy and advocacy. Oxfam currently operates via eleven area offices in nine former states (Upper Nile, Unity, Jonglei, Lakes, Eastern Equatoria, Central Equatoria, Western Equatoria and Western Bahr-el Ghazal, and Northern Bahr el Gazal.
The Senior Wash Coordinator is responsible for internal and external coordination, technical guidance and support to design and implementation of Oxfam’s WASH activities in all areas of operation. He/She is responsible for ensuring Oxfam in South Sudan is technically strong across the sector through capacity building of staff, coordination and collaboration with other agencies, donor proposals, Programme design and strategic planning ensuring high quality intervention, monitoring and accurate data collection, and deliverables within Donor and Oxfam guidelines.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has a relevant academic qualification, coupled with strong experience, preferably with NGOs, in WASH activities and work in humanitarian and/or development contexts. Someone who has experience of leading teams and representing in external and internal forum. A strategic thinker with willingness to travel and work in difficult circumstances. He/she must be committed to the aims and objectives of Oxfam.
