We are looking to significantly grow our institutional income across WaterAid. We see the opportunities for driving step-change through changing both our culture and ways of working. We expect to raise more money in countries, increasing our market share, through building better networks and partnerships and consolidating the links between our advocacy, programmatic and fundraising relationships with institutional donors. We will explore new markets and develop new forms of funding. We want to be more opportunistic and agile. And we want to get stronger at balancing our funding growth with growth in absorption capacity to deliver quality programmes.
To help us deliver this step up we have created a new role of Institutional Funding and Partnerships Director to champion and drive the changes across the whole organisation to deliver our ambition. We want this role to build on our strengths and challenge us to be even better. We have consolidated the teams focused on institutional fundraising into the International Programmes Directorate to bring them even closer to the programmes that they are serving.
WaterAid is seeking an entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual for this role. The right candidate will be an inspirational and motivational leader with a successful track record of working in complex organisations to deliver significant income targets from institutional sources including DFID, EU and UN, with experience of strategic development and delivering significant income growth. You will have demonstrable experience in international development working across several geographical regions. You will also have managed teams and budgets with the ability to deliver tangible results through your leadership. Most importantly, you will have a strong commitment to WaterAid’s values and a working style that reflects these.
