BASIC PURPOSE: This paid internship will work with WASH & FSL Manager to review the water and sanitation challenges globally and provide an assessment of the WASH program’s contribution to reducing the burden of water borne illness among school children.


  • Review global WASH profile and conduct a desk review of the current WASH projects of Global Health

  • Compile 2016 and 2017 WASH report findings into program area report (PDF, .doc, and PPTX formats)

  • Complete a comparison/contrast case study of two countries in the WASH portfolio, of academic quality for conference reporting/publication

  • Assist program manager with authorship of paper/presentation, on the role of Faith-Based Development Organizations (FBOs) in the global WASH sector

QUALIFICATIONS: Current Master of Public Health, Development Practice, or Medical Anthropology/Sociology student with prior overseas mission/field experience in low-resource setting(s). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint. Must be authorized to work in the US for the duration of the Internship.

Fall Semester: Start Date: 5th September, 2017; Hours: 120 hours/week; Schedule: Monday – Friday; Paid: $10 per hour.
