WWF has an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead the UK Water team as the Water Policy & Programme Manager. WWF’s UK Water Programme aims to restore rivers to good ecological health by championing delivery of the Water Framework Directive, influencing government policy and supporting water stewardship in partnership with corporates such as Coca-Cola as well as third sector organisations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all of WWF’s UK water work, developing strategy, leading advocacy, managing staff and overseeing the budget and delivery of projects and communication activities. The Water Policy & Programme Manager manages the UK Water team (currently four staff) sitting within the wider Food & Freshwater team, which is part of WWF’s Corporate Stewardship Unit.
You will be able to display strong strategic skills, political experience and excellent stakeholder management internally and externally.
