This position is for the DBT funded joint research project ¿Local Treatment of Urban Sewage Streams for Healthy Reuse (LOTUS)¿ under Indo-Dutch collaboration on biotechnology. Selected candidates would be working in a DBT funded project with partners from India and Netherlands. The purpose of the overall project is to develop and demonstrate a novel holistic (waste-)water management pilot at Barapullah drain. One of the technology components is the demonstration of anaerobic membrane bioreactor (AnMBR) using TERI¿s indigenous ceramic membranes. The 2 RA positions would involve work on customising ceramic membrane properties, their application in AnMBR and sludge utilization options and will be responsible for planning and implementing the experimental work in lab/on-site, preparation of reports, presentations and publications.
