Project Description: The High Commission of Canada requires the services of an Evaluation Team Leader and a WASH Specialist to conduct a summative evaluation of the Canada-funded Northern Region Small Towns Water and Sanitation (NORST) project.
NORST was a seven-year, CAD $30 million WASH project (2009-2016) designed to provide increased access to potable water and sanitation services in 20 selected small towns in Ghana’s Northern Region. The geographical areas of intervention were 13 districts within the Eastern Corridor of the Northern Region (approximately 125,000 beneficiaries). In addition to improving access to WASH facilities, the project sought to increase the Government of Ghana’s institutional capacities to plan, procure, install, manage and maintain WASH infrastructure at the national, regional, district and sub-district levels.
- The Evaluation Team Leader must have at least 7 years of experience as an evaluator of international development projects, with at least one evaluation assignment evaluating a WASH project.
- The WASH Specialist must have at least 5 years of experience working in the WASH field in the Ghanaian context.
