As the pace of climate change accelerates, businesses, donors and governments are increasingly engaging in efforts to determine sound climate adaptation solutions.In order to maintain its significant growth, GCAP seeks Climate Resilience Expertsto help support and provide technical excellence in our growing number of climate adaptation projects.
Successful candidates should meet the following criteria:
· 10-15 years of technical experience working on climate change, adaptation or related projects (including expertise in high priority climate change sectors)
· English speaking and comprehension fluency. Additional languages are a plus
· Ability to handle international and regional travel
· Excellent skills in time management
· Ability to work remotely from home office, company offices and independently
· Excellent Team player
· Excellent writing skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Relevant client experience

Due to the unique nature of Climate Adaptation projects, the following skills and experience are required:
· Technical experience working in the Climate Change and Climate Adaptation field
· Strong familiarity with the climate change adaptation issues in target location with proven networks within the government, private sector and civil societies
· Technical experience in any one or more of the following: climate science and impact assessment;vulnerability; adaptation strategies and actions; leadership and organizational change; training and capacity building; knowledge management; private sector and finance; national strategy and sectorial action plans;disaster risk reduction; sectorial expertise as it relates to climate change; climate change economics and finance; theory of change and facilitation;monitoring and evaluation; project management; and communication
· Experience working with natural disasters effected by climate change
· Experience working across different sectors
· Experience working with government stakeholders in national and/or regional policy development and implementation in climate change activities
· Advanced degree and experience in climate change, natural resources, livelihoods and/or environment with proven qualifications in adaptation issues
· Knowledge of the major climate adaptation players in your area

· Successfully completing assigned tasks and deliverables on time and of the highest quality
· Working closely with senior leadership team and project managers
