JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at Penn State University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to help on a research project related to water resources. Responsibilities include assistance with one or more of the following areas:

  • Assisting with sample preparation, chemical inventory, and/or equipment management in a water quality laboratory
  • Assisting with statistical analysis of environmental data
  • Planning water education workshops.

Preferred qualifications include an undergraduate (or higher) degree in a field related environmental sciences, statistics, or information technology, strong experience in one or more of the areas above, and familiarity with water-related research. This is a limited-term appointment a six-month period. It is a part-time position.
