The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at Penn State University is seeking part-time Research Assistants to help with the coordinating hub of the NSF-funded Critical Zone Collaborative Network. Responsibilities include assistance with one or more of the following areas:

  • planning, convening, or facilitating project meetings and workshops
  • communicating with the scientific community through project web sites, listservs, and social media
  • developing critical-zone themed educational materials, graphic designs, presentations, or publications
  • Synthesizing and analyzing data with statistical methods.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • a graduate work or degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geosciences, or related field
  • familiarity with critical zone or watershed science
  • experience with environmental education and outreach.

This is a limited-term appointment for a 1-year period.  To apply, provide a cover letter and vita in a single PDF file.
