Project Manager (Infrastructure and Asset-Based Projects) (Full-Time, Permanent)

What you’ll do:
- Own delivery of agreed outcomes across a portfolio of projects from needs analysis to completion, including recommending & implementing optimal solutions to address the business needs while meeting agreed time, cost and quality objectives and determining how benefits will be realised.
- Manage and control project performance through monitoring all aspects of project delivery and proactively managing situations that could impact on project outcomes.
- Ensure all project risks and issues are effectively captured, allocated, managed, actioned, retired and reported throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure appropriate and relevant internal and external resources are effectively briefed, available and engaged in a timely manner to enable effective and efficient project delivery.
- Lead negotiation and ongoing management of contracts for consulting, construction and any other externally provided services required to enable the delivery of projects.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary Qualification (bachelor level or above) in Project Management or Engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience, with at least 5+ years professional experience in Project Management (preferably in infrastructure and asset-based projects).
- Strong commercial acumen to identify benefits, opportunities and trade-offs to be made when formulating and executing business cases, project plans and contract negotiations.
- Experience leading and engaging others in all aspects of the change process aligned to delivery of new assets or systems, with proven ability to manage a range of different stakeholders and their potentially conflicting needs.
- Ability to assess safety and other risk exposures and proactively manage these across project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and practical application of PMBOK methodologies.
- Good to Have: Knowledge, experience and understanding of the water industry and/or experience in delivering a portfolio of infrastructure projects (preferably from a client perspective).
