The research laboratory of Prof. Jin Hur at Sejong University is one of the most leading research groups advancing the area of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in environmental fields.
We are currently looking for a postdoctoral researcher or a PhD student who is familiar with the research areas of DOM characterization and tracking the fate/changes/sources in oceanic environment (particularly, Polar Sea).
– Characterizing DOM in natural (lakes, rivers, oceans, and polar region) systems.
– Understanding of the fate/changes of DOM in oceans.
– Tracking organic carbon sources through various tools including stable isotopes and FT-ICR-MS
Note: Once hired, the researcher (or student) might have to be on cruise to a polar region. So, onboard sampling and experimental experiences will be advantageous for the position.
