Position Details
General Statement | PhD in a relevant field, experience with data science, remote sensing, modeling, and strong capabilities in R and/or Python are required. Additionally, previous experience using remote sensing to evaluate vegetation in Arctic and boreal systems is highly desirable. Compensation includes a 6-month salary ($32,500), fringe ($12,025), computing ($2,500), and travel ($1500) support. Start date is as soon as possible with potential to extend beyond 6 months depending on future funding. The research associate will be involved in data analysis, manuscript preparation, proposal development, and will have considerable opportunity for professional development. |

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills | Ph.D. in remote sensing, hydrology, or a closely related field.Evidence of strong communication skills including a publication record of peer-reviewed journal articles. |
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills | Record of conducting innovative remote sensing research on vegetation dynamics in Arctic and boreal ecosystems.Potential to write grant proposals and secure funding.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams. |
