Program Overview:
This project aims to enhance agricultural water availability and drinking water security in Sehore district by strengthening community-led water management systems, promoting sustainable farming, and leveraging government resources through convergence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement watershed development and agricultural water management interventions.
• Facilitate the formation and capacity-building of Village Development Committees (VDCs), Water User Groups (WUGs), and Village Water & Sanitation Committees (VWSCs).
• Conduct water budgeting exercises and promote sustainable agriculture & water-saving practices.
• Coordinate government convergence (MGNREGA, PMKSY, Jal Jeevan Mission, etc.) to mobilize resources for water conservation.
• Oversee the development of water harvesting structures and soil conservation measures.
• Monitor Rabi crop productivity enhancement and drinking water source sustainability.
• Liaise with Gram Panchayats and local government bodies to integrate project activities into the GPDP process.
• Conduct training sessions for Jal Mitras, farmers, and community groups.
• Prepare progress reports, impact assessments, and documentation for donors and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Postgraduate in Rural Development, Agriculture, Water Resources, Social Work, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in rural development, watershed management, or sustainable agriculture projects.
• Experience in government program convergence (MGNREGA, JJM, PMKSY, etc.).
• Strong community mobilization, training, and capacity-building skills.
• Excellent report writing and documentation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis, and GIS tools (preferred).
• Fluency in Hindi (essential); English (preferred).
