- Salary ranges from $125,693.00 to $138,510.00 + super + leave loading
Our Urban Water Policy team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Policy Officer Urban Water who will provide quality policy analysis and advice and support the delivery of a range of reform projects; including integrated land use planning and water management, water recycling, water sensitive urban design, potable water, water industry competition, demand management and drought response.
The Urban Water Policy team works in partnership with customers and stakeholders, including local water utilities, industry partners and other government agencies, on a range of vital urban water policy issues to achieve great outcomes for the community.
About You
We are seeking someone with demonstrated experience and knowledge in:
- Conducting research, analysis, and evaluation to identify and solve policy issues and support delivery of reform projects.
- Offering expert advice and information on issues, laws, and regulations that follow best practices and take into account the wider policy and operational context.
- Represent your organisation/agency and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Drafting clear, engaging written content and delivering compelling presentations that effectively communicate key ideas to diverse audiences.
- Draft well-researched, analytical papers and briefing notes that provide clear, insightful recommendations and support informed decision-making.
A sound knowledge of water management and/or urban planning challenges and opportunities would be an advantage but is not essential.
Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated knowledge/experience in strategic planning, policy development, regulatory review or socio-economic analysis.
