1. Background
Access to clean and safe drinking water is critical for ensuring community health, resilience, and well-being. In alignment with Goal-7 of HDFC CSR initiatives and SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), this project aims to provide clean drinking water to communities through sustainable, solar-based Jal Minar systems in 5 Gram Panchayats (GPs).
2. Objectives
- Ensure sustainable access to clean drinking water for marginalized and small communities.
- Mitigate water scarcity using solar-powered technologies.
- Promote health and hygiene through clean water availability.
3. Scope of Work Deliverables
The implementing partner will:
1. Install 10 AC solar-based Jal Minar units (2 units in each GP).
2. Ensure each unit includes:
- Solar AC hp pump (Capacity: 1hp)
- Solar Panel 1420 Watt
- 2000 Litter Tank
- GI fasteners for structure fittings
- 1.5 Sq mm 3 core PVC insulated AC cable
- Copper bonded earth electrode
- Hybrid Micro Chip Solar Controller
- HDFC Branding Metallic Board (3 feet x 2 feet)
3. Provide warranty, guarantee and insurance of equipment
4. Roles and Responsibilities Implementing Partner:
Procure and install the solar-based Jal Minar units.
Submit Jal Minar installation completion report as per agreed timelines.
Facilitate training for local community members on maintaining and operating the system.
Handholding and maintenance of Jal Minars for next three years.
PHIA Foundation:
- Provide technical oversight during installation.
- Monitor progress and ensure compliance.
