The Crops and Irrigation Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture has an exciting opportunity for recent graduates looking to develop skills and knowledge to support the growth and development of Saskatchewan’s vibrant irrigation sector. As the Intern Irrigation Agrologist, you will provide irrigation expertise to help deliver programs and services for sustainable irrigation development in the province.
To qualify for this position, you must:
- Within the last three years, have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in Agriculture or a degree in a related field.
- Be eligible for membership as a Professional Agrologist with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
The Intern Irrigation Agrologist will support in the assessment of the province’s land and water resources for irrigation suitability. You will also participate in developing educational and technology transfer materials and programs for producers, producer groups, agronomists, and Ministry staff. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders alike.
