Offer Description
The goal of the project is to validate 2D and 3D models for simulating free surface flows in real topographic mountainous regions and to analyze their effects on structures and protection systems.We will use finite element and finite volume techniques and continuum-based particle techniques such as the Material Point Method to solve both the Navier-Stokes equations and the governing equations of solid mechanics in the finite strain regime.We will analyze both incompressible Newtonian fluids and homogeneous and etherogeneous flows of granular materials.
