Our Industrial Placements run for 54 weeks starting in July-August 2021. Giving you plenty of time to gain valuable experience whilst complementing your studies and personal/professional growth.
During your placement working with the Water Resources team, who ensure that water company plans are in place for a safe and secure supply of water now and into the future, you will gain experience and develop your technical skills in areas such as:
– Data handling and analysis
– Converting evidence and data trends into simple communication tools
– Active member of technical projects
– Engagement with water companies

You will work with and learn from experienced members of your appointed team who will coach/mentor you throughout the year, supporting you to reach your potential.
You will have completed a minimum of two years of your degree course but will not have graduated before summer 2020.
We are looking for applicants with some of the following skills and interests:

– Understanding of GIS and data management
– Analytical and problem solving skills
– Excellent communication
– An Inquiring mind
– Team working skills
– Able to take initiative
– Self-starter and can manage own workload
– Interest in the environment and particularly flood risk
All assessments and interviews will be carried out using an online platform such as MS Teams.
