  • $ 97,152 – $107,541 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team on the NSW North Coast. As the Natural Resource Management Project Officer, you will be instrumental in providing advice and recommendations on complex environmental, planning, natural resource and land management issues. Your expertise in interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedures in complex situations will be paramount to your success in this role.
A key focus of your role will involve effectively supporting key stakeholders. This includes Crown Land Managers, local government and individual clients to support the achievement of government priorities in the management of Crown land. This is across an area renowned for its diverse landscapes including the coastline, green hinterlands and vibrant regional towns.  You will also lead land management activities including field inspections, compliance activities, procurement, technical assessments and report writing. 

About you
To be successful in this role you will;

  • Demonstrate experience in providing appropriately balanced and timely advice, recommendations and briefings on complex and routine environmental, planning and land management issues.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate information to support policies and procedures to stakeholders in complex situations.
  • Demonstrate an ability to prioritise competing work demands given the diverse range of issues encountered simultaneously to be resolved with the defined time-frames.

We are looking for a committed team player with strong project management experience and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be an exceptional communicator with a genuine interest in the environment.
