This three-year research project brings together a multidisciplinary team from Europe to develop hybrid hardware-software solutions, aiming to enhance the resilience of critical water and energy infrastructures against cyber threats. For this exciting project, our interdisciplinary team is currently looking for a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join us for a period of thirteen months. The successful candidate will utilize a variety of machine learning algorithms on real water distribution networks (WDNs) to detect anomalies that may indicate potential cyber-attacks. Additionally, the impacts of extreme events on these systems will be assessed. The project will explore the vulnerabilities of WDNs in the context of various potential cyber-physical attacks, employing intelligent data analysis and optimization methods. Ultimately, the successful candidate will contribute to enhancing the security, privacy, and resilience of critical water distribution networks.
