DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will autonomously carry out various hydrogeologic and public health safeguarding responsibilities within the Northeast Region, focusing on the use, development, and preservation of hydrogeologic characteristics pertinent to the location, design, construction, and safeguarding of public groundwater sources.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes-Barre.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of an active license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
  • This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
