Description

Key activities and required skills
Varietal resistance, biodiversity or groundwater are involved in the provision of ecosystem services, and can be managed as commons goods by actors with diverging interests. The scientist will develop research in management sciences on the collective design and tooling of methods of managing common goods, ecosystemic services support, based on intervention research. He/ she will join a multidisciplinary unit including agronomists which will be moving to the Paris-Saclay campus. He/she will contribute to research on sustainable management of crop health (metaprogramme SMaCH), water catchment protection, or biodiversity conservation. He/she will participate in the Initiative for Design in Agrifood Systems (IDEAS), which coordinates the investment in innovative design of the INRA and AgroParisTech teams of the Ile-de-France region.
Training required
PhD or equivalent. A PhD in management science is highly recommended. Experience in intervention research would be desirable. Candidates should have a good command of English, and long-term international experience would also be desirable. Successful candidates who have not yet acquired postdoctoral training will be required to do so, preferably abroad, after their probationary period (1st year) and before being eligible for promotion to an Experienced Research Scientist position (CR1).
