We have an impressive track record of successful delivery of projects and steady growth and are now looking to employ a Catchment Officer.

This exciting and multi-faceted role combines science, partnership working and delivery to help shape the ongoing development of our catchment partnerships and delivery of catchment plans. Cumbria is at the forefront of the ‘catchment-based approach’ initiative, being the DEFRA Catchment ‘Pioneer’ focus area and with the recent integration of Rivers Trust-led catchment groups within the flood risk management framework in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Trust’s Assistant Director / Catchment Strategy Manager and with our wide of partners and communities to ensure there is a collective focus upon improving our catchments and water environments in West Cumbria for people and wildlife.

You will be a self-starter and demonstrate a committed, mature and flexible approach to your work.
