Job Summary | The University of Kentucky Department of Civil Engineering (i.e., Water Group) is looking to hire a post-doc to pursue to work on a water infrastructure project that focuses on identifying infrastructure dependencies and community resilience to extreme climate stressors in Appalachia. The associated individual will be expected to help develop a cloud-based serious game environment that will integrate agent-based elements with network models of selected communities The individual will also be expected to assist in stakeholder interviews and in the development of agent response models.The University of Kentucky is the comprehensive Land Grant University of the State of Kentucky with a main campus enrollment of over 34,000 students, and a Carnegie Classification of Highest Research Activity (i.e., R1 University). Lexington and its surrounding metropolitan area have a combined population of approximately 750,000. Known as the “Horse Capital of the World,” the city is surrounded by over 450 horse farms which are nestled among a topography of natural limestone, springs, and rolling hills.
