The Opportunity
Senior Officer – WASH supports the delivery of WASH activities in SCI Hospital PHCC and CEMoNC. S/he ensures quality WASH supplies and facilities delivery alongside management of on-site WASH and program operations information systems in compliance with organizational rules and policies. The post holder supports the WASH team to track construction progress using project management tools to provide concise progress reports to senior management. Senior Officer- WASH is responsible for addressing all WASH needs, supports and solutions for WASH systems (medical waste management, infection prevention and control, water treatment and storage, wastewater collection and treatment, wet solid waste disposal, incineration, etc.) and technology selection in SCI Hospital.
Qualifications and Experience
• Professional experience of minimum 3 years, including 2 years in the field of hygiene promotion in a humanitarian or development context.
• Experience in field hospital hygiene promotion.
• Experience in Hygiene Promotion programming.
• Organization, coordination and planning skills.
• BSc in Civil Engineering/Water Science Engineering/hydrology/environment or a related subject; Master’s on similar background is preferred
