Join Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) to be at the centre of crucial engagement work with Traditional Owners and local communities across some of the most culturally and environmentally significant reaches of the River Murray in Victoria.
Working within the Mallee CMA Environmental Watering Team, this important role will coordinate and implement engagement events and foster two-way communication with the Aboriginal community across the Mallee CMA region. Engagement events are highly focused to deliver on statewide objectives to increase Aboriginal involvement in the management of natural resources, specifically environmental water, and the associated cultural outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well and build strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal community members and staff at Mallee CMA
- A demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal culture and heritage
- Experience using computers and software applications, such as Microsoft Office
- A self-motivated individual who has the ability to work unsupervised.
Knowledge of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and experience in the engagement of Aboriginal communities will be highly regarded.

The position is available for up to full-time hours on a temporary basis until 1st December 2026. The salary circa is $76,739 – $92,731 per annum (negotiable dependent upon skills and experience), plus superannuation.
